Applications are open for the
Integrated Water Resource Plan Citizens Task Force
The City of Sugar Land is accepting applications to serve on the Integrated Water Resource Plan (IWRP) Citizen Task Force. The Task Force will be appointed by the City Council, and its members are to serve for the completion of the project. The estimated time to complete this project is 12 months.
The Integrated Water Resource Plan will provide an evaluation and plan for water supply and demand management options for the City of Sugar Land. The Plan will recommend policies, programs, and capital improvement projects to ensure adequate water supplies and responsible management of those supplies for the City.
The charge of the IWRP Citizen Task Force will be to participate in a community dialogue and education process regarding water resource issues and the following tasks:
- characterizing the relative importance of the Plan objectives to the community;
- provide feedback on water supply projects, programs, or contracts
Those interested must complete an online application.

Applications are being accepted up to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend an orientation meeting at Public Works, 111 Gillingham Lane at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31st and Thursday, February 2nd.

Appointments to the Task Force will be made March 2017.
